After I discovered the Simpson's Road Rage Halloween Bart I ran a quick search to see if somebody has written about it.
Well it turns out that not only is there Halloween Bart when you play on Halloween, there's also Pilgrim Marge on Thanksgiving, Santa Apu on Christmas, and Holiday Krusty on New Year's.
I also ran across a bunch more Simpson's Road Rage cheats:

Today I discovered a cool Easter Egg in the PS2 game Simpson's Road Rage.
If you play on Halloween (Oct. 31st) then there's a new character available: Halloween Bart!
I quickly took some digital photos of it cuz I figure that tomorrow it will disappear (so I have some proof).
Here they are:

When I was searching for a link to the Cog Honda ad I ran across this Honda ad parody called Cog Missing.
(in order to download the movie to your computer right click on that link and click "Save Target As...")

One of my all time favorite computer games when I was a kid was Xonix.
Here's an online version that is very similar to Xonix.
The good thing about it is that you move only as long as an arrow key is pressed but the annoying thing about it is that you can only move on lines that you created (not in all the completed areas, like in the original game).

Remember the Honda Cog ad from a few months ago?
Well, Honda has understood the power of the Internet and is using it in order to freely advertise itself (by creating cool commercials that people will send to one another).
So now Honda has come out with a cool new Lego ad.
It's not as cool as the original Cog ad but still impressive.

Beware:
Gator is changing its name.
You know, Gator is the company that creates tons of popups all over the web that try to stealthily install Gator's password saving program.
Well I guess that since everybody knows (or should know) to stay away from Gator, they have decided to change the name of their company to "Claria" (probably thinking that they'll be able to sucker more people into installing their software).
So beware: now you have to stay away from anything that says Gator or Claria.
You have been warned...

The swivel rifle is composed of two parts; the front, that can swivel from side to side, containing a pistol with a color camera mounted on top, and the back section which consists of the stock, trigger and a monitor.
The weapon allows a soldier to remain behind cover, with only the barrel of the rifle exposed in the direction of the hostile fire.
And it looks cool :)

And yet another game.
This time it's a groovy game called Get Groovy (I couldn't help myself ;-).
This is a fun little online flash game that has a similar concept to snake, but is more fun.
I made it up to level 12 (you can only die once in this game and it's all over for you, back to level 1).

Mattel has come out with BarbieOS that will power the upcoming revision of its popular B-Book line of laptops for girls between the ages of four and eleven.
The original B-Book laptop that ran a version of PalmOS was a hit last year so this year Mattel is looking to replace young girls' desktops.
Who would believe that Barbie could be competition for Microsoft?

This is one cool looking phone!
It has a 640x320 65K color screen, a camera, FM tuner, Opera web browser, Bluetooth, handsfree voice recorder....(check out its feature list)
There's a review of it at TheFeature.com and you can see some more pictures of it here.

About a month ago I created a script for creating Emotext for MSN Messenger.
Emotext is a term I came up with for text that is created out of MSN Messenger emoticons (Emoticon-Text, get it?).
It's basically the next evolution of ASCII art (which is the art of creating pictures by using text characters).
So instead of using standard characters, Emotext uses MSN Messenger emoticons (you know those cute smileys).
Creating an Emotext is pretty simple: you go the Emotext page that I created, type the text that you want to create, and hit the submit button.
The result that you'll see is a bunch of weird looking text.
Copy that weird text (you can select "Automatically copy the result to the clipboard " and the result will automatically be copied into your clipboard) and just paste it in your Messenger chat window.
When you send the chat message you'll see the Emotext.
Make sure that your message isn't too long otherwise it will come out crappy.
(if you see these weird (bl)s between the smileys then that means that you didn't create the blank emoticon. Look at the red instructions at the top of the Emotext page on how to add it (you only need to add it the first time you create an Emotext))
If that sounds complicated, just jump on over to the Messenger Emotext page and give it a try. You'll see that it's pretty simple.
Every time I send an Emotext during a MSN Messenger chat the recipient is surprised (in a good way :-).
I also added a bookmarklet for easily creating an Emotext without having to go first to the Emotext page.
You can add it to your bookmarks by dragging the following link to your browser's "Links" toolbar:
Create Emotext
Whew, that was long :o)
Enjoy...

For a while now there's been a trend to build cool looking computers (basically by building a cool box around standard PC components).
This latest PC modification is the Lego computer.
This dude built the whole PC case out of Lego parts, including small moving doors and all the blinking lights.
Scroll down the page in order to see a picture of the completed case.

I posted this right before Guy's World crashed and it was lost so here it is again:
MIT has launched MIT OpenCourseWare where you can freely download course materials and videos from about 500 MIT courses.
By 2007 MIT expects all their courses will be available online.
(I hope this doesn't crash my site again... ;-)

About a month ago IBM unveiled the new G-Series ThinkPad designs.
What's cool about these laptop designs is that they transform into a regular desktop PC.
The keyboard detaches and the monitor can be positioned so that it functions like a regular LCD monitor.
Very cool, I wonder how long it will take before I can actually see one in real life...

Creative PC Remote Control
|
|
|
 |
 |
|
|
 |
 |

Yesterday I got the Creative Labs PC Multimedia Remote Control that I ordered about a week ago.
I bought this thing from TekGems.com and it cost me $13 plus $10 shipping to Israel.
Since TekGems accept PayPal I was able to pay with some money that I got a while ago for filling out a survey (so basically it was free :-)
My thoughts on the remote: it's a pretty simple, easy to install device.
Two minutes and I had it up and running.
In general I totally agree with the Monster-Hardware review (I had the exact same experience).
Two things that they could improve:
- Ability to configure the remote to work for other programs that aren't initially supported (I use MV2 for watching movies, and it can't be controlled with the remote)
- I wish the mouse function would work better (and would move faster).
That way you could control other programs using the remote
Hey for $13 you really can't ask for more!

(and what better than something from stupid.com)
Don't ask me what's the point of this but Head Blinkers may just solve all your problems.
Who knows...

The latest one I found is this site with amazing pumpkin carvings.
There are some really cool looking jack-o-lanterns there.

Have you also noticed that spam has increased tremendously over the past year?
One of the ways to start getting spam is by giving out your email on various web sites (when you want to sign up for a service, get some information, send a greeting card...).
You can never really know where your e-mail address may end up (the company could go out of business and your email address ends up in the wrong hands. Or an current employee could secretly sell your address...). So you start receiving spam to your precious email address for the rest of your life.
By using
Sneakemail every time you need to give out your email address to a site that you don't fully trust, you get a unique sneakemail email address that is automatically forwarded to your real email, and give the shoddy site your sneakemail forwarder.
That way the site does not know your real email (just the sneakemail that you gave them) but still all mail from them will arrive to your regular email (you continue to only check your regular email).
Once you start getting spam to that email you can log into sneakemail and delete that specific email forwarder.
That way your email continues to work regularly except you don't get any spam from the company that you gave out your email to.
The Sneakemail site makes it pretty easy to add and delete email forwarders so that every time you need to give out an email address you quickly create a Sneakemail forwarder and give it instead.
It's simpler than it sounds and if you give out your email many times (like yours truly), Sneakemail could dramatically reduce the amount of spam that you receive.

Now that I can start posting again I feel hungry.
How 'bout a 6 pound burger?
This place actually makes these huge hamburgers (take a look at the picture on the site) that also include:
- Two whole tomatoes
- A half-head of lettuce
- 12 slices of American cheese
- A full cup of peppers
- Two entire onions
They claim that no one has ever finished it (which I doubt)!
