I have not updated this site since April 5th because my father passed away unexpectedly during his daily workout, only 51 years old.

I hope things will start getting back on track soon and I'll continue posting.

Windows FTP

If you need to setup a FTP server on Windows then here are some great step by step instructions on how to configure the built in ftp server.

The instructions say its for Windows 2000 Server but I used them on Win2k Professional.

Anything Audio?

Baudio is a small program that lets you convert any file into an audio file (and decode it back to its original state).

This may sound odd: why would you want to convert something like a digital image or a piece of software into an inaudible audio file?

The idea behind Baudio is that there are many legal debates about sharing music online, so what happens when any file can be considered an audio file?

Any legal precedences for sharing music online can automatically be used for other types of digital content.

The potential of this small utility may influence just about everything we use our computers for...

Virtual Friend

If you're lonely and need somebody to talk to then try this virtual person to interact with.

Ok, it wont really interact with you, it will just say the text that you have entered.

You can choose its voice, language, and of course the text you would like it to say.

It's kinda similar to the "Speak" feature for every post in this site only you can select what to read out loud.

BTW: you can also try playing around with the mouse on the screen (and see what will happen).

Grain Pit Game

The Grain Pit Game is a online flash game that is similar to Lemmings.

Instead of controlling Lemmings to their target you have several tools (like conveyer belts) in order to transfer a stream of grain into a bucket.

It may sound boring but it's actually quite addicting.
